During the late Victorian period 1880-1901 also known as the 'Aesthetic' period, was a period inspired by simple naturalistic asymmetrical themes such as birds, leaves and Japanese-style elements such as bamboo. Japanese trade relations had opened up and a simpler refined sense of design was popular. Japonesque design included birds, bamboo and fans.

Our Japonesque bangle is set in sterling silver, the bracelet features singing and flying birds surrounded by leaves and bamboo. The bangle has a stunning scalloped design.
